Marisa O'Neil Gusting winds prompted the National Weather Service to issue a small craft advisory on Thursday. No major problems were reported on local waters, said Sgt. Donna Soto of the Orange County Sheriff's Harbor Patrol in Newport Beach. John Wayne Airport reported wind speeds of 15 mph from the northeast with gusts to 30 mph Thursday afternoon. Wind speeds are expected to lessen today. Orange County coastal waters had wind waves from 2 to 4 feet Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
