CARSON - The Vanguard University baseball team saw its run production take a day off in Monday's 10-1 nonconference loss to host Cal State Dominguez Hills. Vanguard's Chad Chop went 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, while Anthony Walker chipped in with two hits for the Lions (19-12). Joe Gevas, Cedric Gilmore and Steve Hindman each had two hits to lead the Toros (17-13). Tony Altobelli FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Dennis Keane had 20 points to lead visiting Vanguard University to a 66-62 win over Pacific University Saturday night in nonconference men's basketball action. Brandon Cablay added 16 points, while Kemmy Burgess added 10 for the Lions, who limited Pacific U to 27 percent shooting on the night. The lone player in double figures for Pacific was Kevin Evers, who had 15.
