The bride is the daughter of Gail Staudinger of Newport Beach and the Rev. Rodney Hilpert of Placerville. Her scoop-neck, fitted gown was made of bridal satin and was designed with five bands of satin around the waist and box pleats. The train trailed 3 feet behind the dress. The veil was longer than the train, with pearls embroidered on the edges.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Brandow of Sarasota, Fla. The bride wore a short-sleeved ball gown of ivory satin with a scooped neck and clusters of satin rosettes on the chapel-length train. She carried a round bouquet of white roses.Her maid of honor was Anne Marie Sheridan.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Inga Peralta-Ramos of New York City. The bride wore a Scaasi couture gown in satin and lace. The bridegroom is the son of Carmen Sellers of Hermosa Beach. The best man was Philip Peralta-Ramos. The reception was also held in Nevada. The couple spent its honeymoon in Bora Bora.

B.W. Cook Nordstrom South Coast Plaza turned its upper level into a New York supper club to present the third annual Spotlight on Gowns last week in Costa Mesa. To honor the 2001 Candlelight Concert underwriters for the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Nordstrom presented a spectacular collection of fall and winter ball gowns and gentlemen's tuxedos by renowned fashion designers from New York, Milan and Paris. Penny Newman, executive in charge of Nordstrom designer salon, handled the presentation with panache.
