COSTA MESA -- The Costa Mesa High girls' basketball team earned a 35-29 lead over Ocean View in a Golden West League game Monday, but went cold and wound up falling, 43-36. The Mustangs scored just one point in the final 3:46 to fall to 6-12, 1-3 in league. Costa Mesa, which has struggled with its field-goal percentage of late, was just 3 of 16 from the field in the final eight minutes. Tracy Bjelland had 13 of her game-high 15 points after halftime, including eight in the third quarter to help the Mustangs take the lead.
