Matt Regan, who joined Wells Fargo as a teller in 1989, has been appointed as manager of the bank’s Newport Beach office. Regan, a Ladera Ranch resident, most recently managed the Wells Fargo office in Newport Coast. Reza Saremaslani has been named to fill his former position. The Newport Beach office for Wells Fargo has more than $440 million in deposits and more than 30 team members. “I’m looking forward to being involved with this great community by meeting our customers and working with the team members at Newport Beach and partnering with the Corona del Mar private bank,” Regan said in a release.

A man police arrested Wednesday on charges of stealing millions through his self-run insurance company faces more than 150 felony counts, according to prosecutors. Anthony David Medina, 36, was arrested in Oxnard on suspicion of defrauding 18 business owners of more than $2.5 million they had paid him to take out insurance policies for their businesses, prosecutors said. Medina is accused of operating Prompt Insurance Agency out of Newport Beach from 2003 to 2006 and taking companies?
