COSTA MESA Carson Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 1100 block at 12:51 a.m. Wednesday. Harbor Boulevard: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 3300 block at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday. Pomona Avenue and West 17th Street: A vehicle burglary was reported at 5:18 a.m. Wednesday. Ellesmere Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2800 block at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday. Andros Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2800 block at 9:09 a.m. Wednesday. Oak Street: Vandalism was reported in the 800 block at 10:11 a.m. Wednesday.

A Huntington Beach man arrested by Irvine police on suspicion of having stolen property pleaded not guilty to five felonies and a misdemeanor this week. Irvine police credited a resident tip and increased patrols to the June 6 arrest of Brian Ryan, 37. He pleaded not guilty Monday to one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, one felony count of receiving stolen property, one felony count of possession of a gun by a felon, one felony count of unauthorized use of personal identification, one felony count of unlawfully taking a vehicle and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphenalia, court records show.
