Paul Clinton NEWPORT-MESA -- Unhappy about criticism of President Bush's foreign policy, Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach) lashed back at leading Democrats this week. Cox aimed his comments most pointedly at Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-South Dakota). "Sen. Daschle and the party he leads are moving dangerously close to a new, more virulent strain of isolationism that renounces America's opportunity and responsibility to lead the world," Cox said in the statement.

"When I was young and there was a big, expensive government program that didn't work, people would call for ending it." GUN RIGHTS Criticizes incumbent Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach) for his lack of support for gun owners. "He's very tepid in his support of 2nd Amendment rights." The Libertarian argues that gun control laws don't prevent criminals from accessing guns and that gun ownership benefits the weakest members of society.
