Friends of Childhelp gathered recently at the invitation of Bill and Lil Knight Bill and Lil Knight . An elegant cocktail supper unfolded in their Pelican Crest estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Some 100 dedicated men and women were honored for their support of the Childhelp organization, which is preparing for its annual fashion luncheon set for Monday at the Island Hotel, Newport Beach. The fashion show will be generously underwritten and produced by South Coast Plaza. Diana Miner , president of the Orange County Chapter of Childhelp, joined fashion show chairs, including Pam Pharris and Nancy Whitlock , in welcoming the crowd to the Knight residence in anticipation of next weeks’ fashion luncheon.

This is a dream come true for shoe-aholics! The Jimmy Choo collection for H&M debuts Saturday at South Coast Plaza. Here’s the skinny: The Bristol Street store opens at 10 a.m., and a line will start forming at 6:30 a.m. inside the center. There’s a rumor that wristbands will be distributed for a 20-minute shopping limit in the women’s shoes section. The Jimmy Choo’s exclusive collaboration with H&M means that we can all afford perfect shoes for the party season, stylish clothes and accessories to match, and men’s fashions from head to toe. The shoe collection features high heels and thigh-high boots to gladiator flats and ballet pumps.

With oversized red shoes and a yellow-and-red ensemble, Ronald McDonald prowled the catwalk Friday at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach. The Orange County Ronald McDonald House’s 20th annual High Tea and Fashion Show celebrated 20 years of the home’s commitment to offering a sanctuary for families whose children are undergoing treatment at area children’s hospitals. About $175,000 was raised through auctions and other means for the 20-bed home in Orange, where more than 10,000 families have stayed since it opened in 1989.

It was a Tupperware party on steroids, with the mostly female guests sipping chocolate milk out of shot glasses. Fashion royalty took Newport Beach by storm Tuesday. Designer darling Zac Posen debuted his spring/summer 2010 collection with a private runway show at Fashion Island’s Neiman Marcus. It was the first time that the clothing designer, whose clients include Hollywood starlets, has shown his full line outside New York, America’s fashion capital. He’ll be following up today with a public appearance at Neiman Marcus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Zac Posen is probably the youngest established American designer, and we are especially proud that this collection has not been shown anywhere outside of New York City, so O.C. rocks!

The 20th anniversary of the Orange County Ronald McDonald House will be celebrated at a tea and fashion show from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort, 1221 W. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach. Speakers will share about the 20-year history of the house, and there will be a silent auction and opportunity drawing.
