The woman dropped her complaint against Rodman earlier this week, said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Lovell, who owns the massage business Care of the Body, 215 Riverside Ave., pleaded guilty in 1999 to three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery.    Costa Mesa police fielded a report that a customer was held up at about 9 a.m. Monday outside a credit union. Costa Mesa police arrested Anthony Maldonado, 25, of Huntington Beach, on suspicion of armed robbery and possession of stolen property, but they could not immediately say if he was the suspect in Monday’s holdup.

The manager of former NBA player and part-time Newport Beach resident Dennis Rodman said Wednesday a woman who accused the star of spanking her in a Dana Point bar punched Rodman in the chest before the alleged incident and asked him to expose his genitals. “She was saying she was like Erin Brockovich and she’s brought law firms to their knees,” said Darren Prince, of Prince Marketing Group, who has represented Rodman for the past 10 years.
