No one likes to be the punchline of a joke. Sometimes it makes someone want to punch back. Jack Kayajanian, whose law firm is based in Costa Mesa, did not appreciate the joke I made him out to be as part of my column on Dennis Rodman and his child-support case last week. Jack defended himself, defended his stance and took exception to some of the things I wrote. He's the lawyer for Michelle Rodman, Dennis' third wife. Michelle, who has two children from Dennis, lives in Costa Mesa.

ORANGE - A disheveled, chubby, out-of-breath lawyer walked into a family courtroom tugging at two boxes of files on a dolly. Sounds like the start to a joke, but to NBA Hall of Famer and former Newport Beach resident Dennis Rodman, Jack Kayajanian, his ex-wife's lawyer, was no laughing matter. "You guys are working me," Kayajanian said, trying to be humorous. Rodman rolled his eyes and calmly responded, "No, you're working me, bro. " Rodman was mostly referring to a highly charged, and mostly false, press release Kayajanian sent to the media Monday.

On the second episode of “Sober House,” which aired last week, former NBA player and Newport Beach resident Dennis Rodman and his fellow cast mates learned about a hard day’s work by taking entry-level, minimum-wage jobs. The “Sober House” staff believed it would be a task in self-worth, teaching the celebrities that what you do doesn’t define you. As they explained the day’s duty, actor Tom Sizemore got defensive. “I think this job thing is a bunch of (bull)

What turnip truck did John Campbell fall off of? The Republican Party is not about privacy, it’s more concerned about everyone’s personal affairs. The GOP is more interested in what someone’s doing in their bedroom (i.e. gay marriage, pro life) than they are in dealing with healthcare, education, immigration and, dare I say, the war in Iraq. Chalk it up to their farsighted alliance with the religious right. I love his remarks about socialized health care.

The manager of former NBA player and part-time Newport Beach resident Dennis Rodman said Wednesday a woman who accused the star of spanking her in a Dana Point bar punched Rodman in the chest before the alleged incident and asked him to expose his genitals. “She was saying she was like Erin Brockovich and she’s brought law firms to their knees,” said Darren Prince, of Prince Marketing Group, who has represented Rodman for the past 10 years. Prince said he has been talking to witnesses who were at Hennessey’s Tavern in Dana Point the night Rodman allegedly slapped the woman on the buttocks.
