About 9:30 a.m., a silver Toyota Corolla was pulling out of the Boatyard & Storage, 1672 Placentia Ave., when it hit a black Porsche Cayenne SUV traveling northbound along Placentia toward West 17th Street, on-scene authorities said.

The Porsche also hit a tree along Placentia between West 17th and West 16th streets. The area was closed off for more than an hour.

Both drivers were men. One was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, the other to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
