Costa Mesa resident Annie Radeva and Newport Beach residents Austin Di Giulio, Max McKennon and Danielle Willson have all advanced to the semifinals of their respective divisions at the Costa Mesa Summer Junior Classic tennis tournament.
Radeva is the top seed in girls' 16 singles and she won twice Wednesday at Costa Mesa Tennis Center, defeating No. 8-seeded Barbara Mancera of Mexico, 6-4, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. Radeva plays No. 5-seeded Rachel Kim of Orange in a semifinal match at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Di Giulio is unseeded in boys' 16 singles, but he outlasted No. 7-seeded Tom Witteveen of La Mesa, 6-7, 6-2, 6-0, in a quarterfinal match Wednesday. Di Giulio will play Joachim Samson of the Philippines in a semifinal match at 10 a.m. Thursday.
