At the Mesa Verde Library

The Summer Reading programs at the Mesa Verde Library for the next two weeks will be held outside the library on the grass.

The first session, "Flights of Fantasy Story Theater," will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, bringing folk tales and fables to life in a colorful display of masks, props and costumes.

Performers Lorrie Oshatz and Theresa Amy have created a unique style of Vaudeville storytelling that enables children and parents to celebrate the humor and wisdom inherent in multi-cultural literature. All ages are welcome.

When "Wild Wonders" arrives at 1 p.m. July 10, children and their parents will have the opportunity to meet some extraordinary animals and learn how many creatures from our dreams have real jobs in nature.

You will see a binturong, an armadillo, a gliding phalange and more! All are welcome to this free program at the library, 2969 Mesa Verde Drive East, Costa Mesa. Call (714) 546-5274 for more information.
