Boudin Bakery at Metro Pointe at South Coast is reopening with a newly remodeled kitchen allowing for an expanded breakfast menu, according to a company spokeswoman.
The San Francisco-based bakery and cafe, which closed March 26, will reopen June 26, said Dave Wolfgram, CEO of Boudin.
The first 100 customers will receive a year's worth of free bread loaves — one fresh-baked loaf a day. The event will also coincide with a fundraiser benefiting Share Our Selves, with bakery patrons encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Costa Mesa-based charity.
Changes to the bakery include a complete interior remodel to duplicate the bakery's San Francisco location, a larger kitchen to support the expanded menu and additional patio seating.
