A tow truck struck an apartment building Monday in Costa Mesa, authorities said.
No one was hurt, but a resident was displaced from the home in the 300 block of East 20th Street.
Firefighters responded to the scene after receiving an emergency call about 12:50 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Kevin Diamond.
While moving a car, the truck somehow got into gear, rolled and then hit the building, Diamond said.
Firefighters deployed three fire engines, one fire truck and the urban search & rescue team. Diamond said the team examined the building to ensure that no one inside was injured.
