  • TILL SUNDAY: The Exchange Club of Newport Harbor presents its third annual Armed Forces Day program, featuring “The Field of Honor,” a display of 1,776 American flags in Castaways Park, off Dover Drive in Newport Beach. At noon Saturday, Lt. Col. Robert J. Friend, 92, one of the surviving Tuskegee Airmen, will give the keynote speech at a dedication ceremony. At 3 p.m. on Sunday, the exchange club will screen the feature film “All for Liberty” in Dierenfield Hall at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach. Newport Beach Relay for Life

The 11th annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Newport beach kicks off at 9 a.m. at Newport Harbor High School, 600 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach. A Luminaria Ceremony in honor of cancer survivors and in memory of those who have died of cancer will happen after sundown.
