IRVINE — Brad Tapfer had two eagles to shoot one-under-par 35 and lead the visiting Sailors in the nonleague match at Strawberry Farms Golf Course on Monday.
Mason Moody (38) and Carter Norris (40), who along with Tapfer eagled the final hole, also stood out for the Tars (8-6).
Ahmed Eltamami (36) led the Lightning (7-5).

NEWPORT BEACH — Sophomore Shaun Vetrovec threw a complete game, striking out four on Monday to lead the Sailors to their first pool-play win at the Beach Pit Classic.
Freshman Rigsby Duncan had three runs batted in for the Sailors (4-12).
Zach Friedman, a senior, recorded his first career hit in his first at-bat. He also scored a run.

CORONA DEL MAR — Juniors Hunter Heckendorn and Max Stone each doubled in the Sea Kings' pool-play game at the Beach Pit Classic on Monday.
Nick Roco drove in a run on a single for CdM (10-6).

COSTA MESA — Senior Alex Trancoso went two for two with two runs batted in and two walks for Estancia in a pool-play game at the Beach Pit Classic Monday.
Brodie Pearce and Levi Stillman each went two for three for Estancia (10-5), which is 0-2 in pool play.
