It's going to be a busy couple of months for Costa Mesa residents, with several meetings scheduled in the coming weeks to tackle long-term budget issues and a proposed city charter.
At 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31, the City Council will have a study session to discuss the city's budget and financial policies, and its five-year plan.
At 7 p.m. Feb. 13, Costa Mesa will have its second official city charter meeting, one of two required by the state where the council can add or delete items from its proposed charter. If the council decides to put the charter on a ballot, voters would ultimately get to vote it up or down for adoption.
