MELT Class

Costa Mesa Parks & Recreation presents a MELT class, which uses balls to relieve aches and pains to slow aging. The class costs $15 and is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Balearic Community Center, 1975 Balearic Drive, Costa Mesa. For more information, go to

Computer Friends of OASIS

E-Book Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers a hands-on eBook training session from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. Library staff will demonstrate Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iPad and Sony readers and provide personal instruction for downloading free eBooks from the Overdrive site. Speak Up Newport

Steve Chaitow of BCJ Architects, who is the project architect for the new Civic Center in Newport Beach, will discuss the project during the Speak Up Newport meeting.
