Corona del Mar, Newport Harbor and Sage Hill continue play in the CIF State playoffs Saturday.

Three local girls' volleyball teams remain alive in the CIF State Championships.

Corona del Mar High and Newport Harbor are in Division I, while Sage Hill School is in Division IV.

CdM (32-4), the No. 5 seed, play at top-seeded Los Alamitos Saturday at 7 p.m.in a Southern California regional semifinal. Newport Harbor (26-9), the sixth seed, is in the other semifinal at No. 2-seeded Marymount (31-4). That match also starts at 7 p.m.

Sage Hill (27-5), the fourth seed, will play at top-seeded and defending champion La Jolla Country Day (31-8) Saturday at 7 p.m.

CdM and Newport advanced to Saturday's match in dramatic fashion, both winning in five sets.

The Sea Kings rallied for a 25-15, 22-25, 22-25, 25-16, 19-17 victory at Torrey Pines Tuesday. Grace Kennedy had 23 kills to lead CdM.

Newport Harbor reeled off a 23-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-12 win at Clovis West in Fresno. Senior Cinnamon Sary, bound for USC, led the way with 37 kills and five digs. The Sailors last won the state title in 2009.

Sage Hill recorded its first state playoff win Tuesday when it beat visiting Viewpoint, 25-14, 27-29, 25-18, 25-8.

Zoe Kreitenberg led the Lightning with 15 kills.
