The Foundation for Neurosciences, Stroke and Recovery hosted "A Casino and Swing Dance Party with a Purpose" on Friday at the OASIS Senior Center.

Many guests wore swing-era attire to the fundraiser dinner, which had a speakeasy theme, period music by MPG Musicians and a dance performance by Cheryl Burke Dance Studios.

Almost $10,000 was raised for the nonprofit whose mission is to enhance the lives of individuals and families who have been affected by neurological ailments.

Orange County businesses and organizations donated to the evening, including Cheryl Burke Dance Studios, Cinderella Cakes, World Class Casino Entertainment, In-N-Out Burger, the Yard House, Desert Springs Resort and Figge Photography.
