COSTA MESA — Celebrated shoe designer Brian Atwood's more affordable line was launched Thursday at Saks Fifth Avenue in South Coast Plaza. The event attracted those who love to strut in their heels.
Saks, which is first to carry the line, and Michelle Dalton Tyree, founder of Los Angeles-based blog Fashion Trends Daily, hosted the launch party.
Those who love Atwood's chic, classic-yet-edgy style but can't afford them can now get a taste through the less expensive line, B Brian Atwood.
"Our readers are die hard fashion fans, but price is still important to even the most ardent fashion mavens," Tyree said. "I think the B Brian Atwood collection is perfect because it has all the sexiness and on-trend style of the designer collection while being a bit more budget friendly."
The price of the shoes range from about $300 to $600.
Like many high-end designers, Atwood, who was the first American designer to work for the House of Versace, is extending his brand to a larger and a younger audience, who have an appreciation of the finer brands.
