College Roundup: Anteaters edge Titans

UC Irvine 2, Cal State Fullerton 1

FULLERTON — Freshman Cami Privett scored the equalizer in the 60th minute and assisted on sophomore Natalia Ledezma's game-winner in the 75th minute to propel the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference clash Friday.

Ledezma and Sarah Devine had the assist on Privett's goal, which helped UCI (10-3-2, 3-1-1 in conference) earn a share of the conference lead with Cal State Northridge (both with 10 points).


UCI, which received four saves from freshman Jennifer Randazzo, plays host to third-place Long Beach State (nine points) on Sunday at 6 p.m.



Pepperdine 11, UC Irvine 10

IRVINE — Mitch Wise scored a game-high four goals for the No. 7-ranked Anteaters in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game Friday.

Max Parrague, Nick Pfeil and Trent Baxter scored two goals each and Jimmy Friedrich had five saves for UCI (12-8, 0-3 in the MPSF).

Pepperdine, ranked No. 8, is 9-6, 1-1.
