A Costa Mesa man was sentenced to 95 years to life in prison Wednesday for raping an adult and a minor in two separate crimes.
A jury found Jaime Zamora Ramirez, 42, guilty of two felony counts of forcible rape, one felony count of forcible sexual penetration and a sentencing enhancement for raping multiple victims and committing a sexual offense during a burglary, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.
In the first case, prosecutors said Ramirez went to the home of a female friend on Oct. 12, 2008, forced his way in and raped her.
On July 11, 2009, Ramirez asked a subordinate at First Class Cleaners in Fountain Valley, where he was a manager, to drop off another employee, a minor, at his Costa Mesa home to perform "special deliveries," according to a news release from the D.A.'s office.
Ramirez then led the girl to a room in his house and raped her, later telling her that no one would believe her if she reported the rape because she was an undocumented immigrant.
