Ally McCormick had four assists and four steals and Alex Musselman made 17 saves.
CdM was second in its bracket after defeating Newport in a shootout, 9-6, in the opener and then losing to first-place qualifier Huntington Beach Water Polo Club, 6-4.
CdM came back to win four games on Sunday against Elite, Huntington Beach (B team), SET (B team) then the fifth-place match against Newport.
Saunders and Papa each scored 13 goals in qualifying to share team-high honors.
McCormick had 11 goals and Murphy 10. Weed scored three times, while sophomore Morgan Stewart and freshman Avery Warwick scored twice each and the team's other freshman, Marina Coskinas, added a goal.
Musselman made 72 total saves over the weekend.
The Junior Olympics are scheduled for Aug. 4-7 at sites throughout Orange County.

Jock competes in NCAAs
UC Irvine junior Charles Jock competes in the 800-meter semifinals at the NCAA Track & Field Championships Wednesday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jock is in the second of three heats at approximately 4:15 p.m. (PDT) at Drake Stadium. The top two finishers from each heat and the next two-fastest times overall will advance to Friday's final at 5:20 p.m. (PDT). A live webcast will be available each day.
Jock's time of 1 minute, 46.27 seconds that he ran in winning his quarterfinal heat at the NCAA West Regional in Eugene, Ore., May 27 is the second-fastest time overall from the regionals in Wednesday's 24-man field. Elijah Greer of Oregon ran 1:45.98 in winning his heat in Eugene.
Jock's semifinal heat Wednesday includes UC Santa Barbara's Ryan Martin, who edged Jock at the finish line by six-hundredths of a second in the Big West Conference Championships at Anteater Stadium May 14. They shared the Big West Athlete of the Year honors in men's track this season. Jock also won that award in 2010.
Jock ranks No. 1 in the NCAA this season with an 800 time of 1:45.19 that he ran in winning the Elite Invitational 800 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays April 16, breaking his own school record.
Jock was named the Athlete of the Meet for the second straight year at the Cal/Nevada Championships after winning the 800 meters in 1:47.18 March 27 in Claremont. This was the third straight year that he won the 800 at that meet.
