COSTA MESA — One person was sent to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after an apartment fire early Sunday morning, police and fire officials said.

Damages from the fire were estimated to be about $75,000. Three adults and a child were displaced.

About 1:03 a.m. Sunday, the Costa Mesa Fire Department got a call about a structure fire at 666 W. 18th St., and 26 firefighters responded to the blaze, according to a news release from police.

Four engines, a truck, paramedic unit, battalion chief and heavy rescue squad were on scene, the release said. Fire department personnel arrived at the fire within three minutes of it being reported.
