CORONA DEL MAR — The Corona del Mar High boys' tennis team used a dominant doubles performance to beat Temple City, 15-3, in a CIF Southern Section Division I second-round match Friday.
The No. 3-seeded Sea Kings (17-5) advance to Tuesday's quarterfinals, when they'll play at Harvard-Westlake in North Hollywood. Harvard-Westlake, which like CdM had two straight home matches to open the playoffs, beat Calabasas, 15-3, and won the pre-match coin flip to host the quarterfinal match.
Against Temple City, CdM swept in doubles for the second straight match in the playoffs, dropping just nine games.
CdM went up, 6-0, in the first round, getting key wins from Shane Korber in singles and Zach Williams and Paul Kacik in doubles.
