UC Irvine 13, Pacific 7

STOCKTON — Senior left fielder Drew Hillman went six for six and drove in two runs and junior first baseman Jordan Leyland was four for five with a homer and four RBIs to help the Anteaters clinch the Best West Conference three-game series Sunday.

Hillman is only the second Anteater to get six hits in a game.

Christian Ramirez was three for five with two RBIs for UCI (23-9, 6-3 in conference).

Andy Lines (3-1) earned the win with two relief innings.

UOP is 11-21, 3-6.

UC Santa Barbara 5

IRVINE — The host Anteaters clinched their second Big West Conference regular-season title in three seasons behind four goals from Michaela Pierandozzi and three from Cortney Collyer on Sunday.

No. 10-ranked UCI outscored the Gauchos, 6-1, after halftime

UCI is 18-8, 4-0 in conference. No. 16-ranked UCSB is 20-11, 3-2.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — With 36 holes completed Monday in the 54-hole tournament, UC Irvine is fourth, 26 shots behind leading Long Beach State at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club.

The final 18 holes are Tuesday.

UCI junior Lalita Patipaksiri is fourth individually, while freshman Ronnie Valerio is tied for seventh.

IRVINE — The host Anteaters won four singles sets and took two of three to claim the doubles point in the Big West Conference match Sunday.

Chris Kearney, Stephen Stege and Sam Gould won in singles and doubles for UCI (16-6, 4-0 in conference).

NORWALK — UC Irvine senior Alisha Misiaita was second in the women's shot put with a mark of 49 feet, 1 1/4 inches at Cerritos College on Saturday.

Nick Jennings tied for sixth in the men's pole vault (16-2) and UCI teammate Colin Hacker was eighth in the men's 800 meters (1:51.88).

Lauren Freschauf tied for ninth in the women's pole vault (11-9)

Misiaita was 17th in the discus throw (150-2).

SANTA BARBARA — The visiting Anteaters completed their regular season in the Big West Conference match Sunday.

UCI is 10-12, 3-5 in conference. UCSB is 13-9, 5-3.

Courtney Byron and Kristina Smith had wins for UCI at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.
