By Friday, Newport Harbor High's Dominic Bulone will have coached two Beaudette brothers at the CIF State wrestling finals.
Four years after Brian Beaudette reached state, his younger brother, Bradley, is in Bakersfield.
Bulone is hoping to stay in town for more than one day. Bradley is in the 189-pound division and Bulone believes the senior can place in the top eight at state.
Bulone said both brothers hate to lose. There is one big difference between the two.
"Bradley reacts differently to a loss compared to his brother," Bulone said after Bradley won the Sunset League title last month. "He doesn't dwell on the loss. He recovers quickly."
Bradley will try to avoid the kind of day Brian experienced at state in 2007.
Brian dropped his first two matches in the heavyweight division and exited. Bradley cannot afford to lose twice on the first day if he plans to place.
