Hundreds of people stopped by the Irvine Civic Center on Saturday afternoon to celebrate all things Korea.

From folk art to traditional dress, dance and food, the second annual Irvine Korean-American Festival offered plenty for Koreans to celebrate and others to learn.

David and Shelley Kinzel live in Irvine but had never been by City Hall. So with their daughter, they decided to stop by and eat some tasty Korean barbecue and take in the sights.

Others, like twin sisters Sarah and Cindy Suhng, were promoting their nonprofit organization that offers help for Koreans in Southern California and overseas.

On Saturday, they had festival visitors sign a quilt with messages of unity and hope they plan on sending to the governor in Sacramento.
