The Newport-Mesa Seahawks Clinic football team (ages 9 through 10) scored another convincing victory over the Huntington Beach Oilers, 33-6, Saturday.

Quarterback Spencer Hook connected with Sachin Gokhale on two 25-yard touchdown passes, the first being completed with a stunning catch by Gokhale in the end zone.

Leading 14-0 at the start of the second half, HB squib kicked, which was picked up by Tahlal Benamed, who promptly ran over and around six tacklers and scored on a 50-yard run. After another fine defensive stand by the Seahawks, Hook reeled off a 75-yard touchdown run himself. The final Seahawk touchdown was courtesy of tailback Nick Meisenheimer, who cracked off a beautiful cutback run threw the middle of the field for a 35-yard score.

Hugo Aviles Jr., had another solid game at receiver, linebacker, and outstanding kickoffs. Simon Hall booted what appeared to be a 40-yard punt. Luke Fisher and Parker Susolik were again rock solid on defense. Parker Ruiz, Logan Rockwell and Brian Bailey, among others, were exceptional in the trenches. The entire team looked ready for the start of playoffs this Saturday at Sage Hill School.
