Simba

Simba, the gorgeous petite black Burmese-looking cat , is wearing his pirate costume for Halloween. Simba is best known for his beautiful bright green eyes. He is very playful and kitten-like as he throws his toys in the air and chases them. He relaxes afterward by watching the birds outdoors.

Community Animal Network is now focusing its efforts on communication, hoping that people will see the need to help local animals and send donations, or get involved by becoming a foster parent. The animal network is on Twitter; follow us @AnimalNetwork.

Tweet D67: Seventy-one-year-old woman has 12 cats and needs to find new homes for some of them. Says, "All I do is care for them."

Tweet D69: Father died and left 4-year-old dog. Dog smells and is losing hair. Cannot afford to see a vet.

Tweet D70: Neighbor passed away. Need someone to take the cat.

Lack of donations is causing Community Animal Network concern. We have has not received any donations this week that support local animals' care and vet medical costs, and may not be able to recoup the necessary funds needed to make up for a loss of a $10,000 donation that we grew accustomed to. Some programs to the public are already affected by the network's strict budgeting.
