HUNTINGTON BEACH — Junior Emily Mitchell scored for the Sailors who earned a share of the Sunset League lead Thursday.

Mitchell scored in the second half on a redirected shot from Stephanie Storch. The victory marks the Sailors' second straight win over Huntington Beach.

Goalkeeper Sydney King recorded five saves for the Sailors (11-2, 4-1 in league).

NEWPORT BEACH —Tiffany Su shot two-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors and help the Sea Kings set a school-course record at Newport Beach Country Club Thursday in Pacific Coast League action.

Grace Kim shot a 39, while Kim Schmied and Emily Turner both shot 42, and Caitlin Shinohara carded a 43 for CdM (6-7, 5-5 in league). The previous school record was 210 set in 2006.

COSTA MESA — Cassie Stevenson shot one-over-par 34 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match at Costa Mesa Country Club's Mesa Linda course Thursday.

Ashley Peters (37), Frankie Thorpe (44), Jillian Tanner (45) and Jackie Tanner (48) also scored for Estancia (13-3, 10-1 in league).

NEWPORT BEACH — Charlotte Skonsby medaled with a four-over-par 40 for the Sailors in the Sunset League match at Big Canyon Country Club Thursday.

Alley Damser (49), Lauren Pfeifer (54), Amelia Thomas (56) and Kylie Granath (62) also scored for Newport Harbor (0-14, 0-9 in league).

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Cinnamon Sary had seven kills to help lead the Sailors to a 25-6, 25-20, 25-10 Sunset League win Thursday.

Allison Schelin had four kills and Biz Buckingham had five aces for Newport Harbor (14-7, 3-1 in league), which plays host to Huntington Beach Tuesday.

Calvary Chapel def. Estancia

SANTA ANA —Charlotte Gaitan had 13 digs for Estancia in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.

Calvary Chapel won, 25-16, 25-12, 25-9. Estancia dropped to 5-7, 2-2 in league

FOUNTAIN VALLEY —Freshman Natalie Cernius swept at No. 2 singles for the Sailors in the Sunset League match Thursday.

Doubles teams sweptt, dropping a combined five games for Newport Harbor (12-2, 5-0 in league).

Costa Mesa 15, Godinez 3

COSTA MESA — The Mustangs swept in doubles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.

The No. 1 doubles team of Allie Hatch and Dasha Farris led the way for Costa Mesa (7-3, 3-2 in league).
