COSTA MESA — The No. 2 doubles team of Jacky Dang and Lisa Vu swept, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1, to help the Mustangs in the nonleague match Tuesday.


No. 1 singles player Ellen Im won two of her three matches, 6-2, 6-3, for Costa Mesa (3-0).

LAGUNA BEACH — Junior middle blocker Alex Holbrook recorded seven kills, four blocks and three service aces in the Sailors' 25-21, 25-21, 25-11 nonleague victory Tuesday.

Madison Brown had six kills and four digs for Newport Harbor (1-1), ranked No. 8 in the CIF Southern Section Division I-AA poll.

Cinnamon Sary finished with 20 assists and five blocks. Tatum Norton added six digs.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Sophomore libero Charlotte Gaidan finished with 10 digs in the Eagles' 25-21, 18-25, 25-17, 25-20 nonleague victory, their first of the season.

Lily McLendon had 15 kills for Estancia (1-1).

Lauren Peterson added six kills the Eagles.

Estancia plays at Santa Ana Valley Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

IRVINE — Junior middle blocker Zoe Kreitenberg finished with nine kills, 14 digs, four blocks and three service aces for the Lightning, but Beckman won the nonleague match, 25-19, 25-15, 25-18, Tuesday.

Maggie Danner had five kills, eight digs and two blocks for Sage Hill (2-5), ranked No. 7 in the CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA poll.

The Lightning play host to JSerra today at 5:30 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Senior Ashley Peters and sophomore Cassie Stevenson each shot seven-over-par 41 to earn co-medalist honors for the Eagles in a Golden West League match Tuesday.

Estancia improved to 5-1, 4-0 in league.

Jillian Tanner recorded a 44, followed by Frankie Thorpe (50) and Melissa Morel (51).

IRVINE — Kim Schmied and Tiffany Su both shot one-over-par 37 for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League opener at Oak Creek Golf Course Tuesday.

Grace Kim (42), Emily Turner (44) and Caitlin Shinohara (48) also scored for CdM (1-1, 1-0 in league).

LONG BEACH — David Jorth scored four goals and added an assist in the Sailors' nonleague match at Belmont Plaza Pool Tuesday.

Farrel South had two goals, two steals and one assist for Newport Harbor (2-0), ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section Division I poll.

Ryan Fowler and Dan Stevens each scored twice.
