Anteater senior Colin Hacker placed seventh in the 238-runner field with a time of 25:12.8.
Junior Rex Nelson was 14th (25:31.5) and senior Barrett Tilley finished 21st (25:39.3).
Senior Victor Bonilla placed 23rd (25:44.6), junior Sam Hyams 24th (25:45.8), junior Brett Matejka 25th (25:50.5) and junior Andy Burich was 33rd (26:08.5) to round out UCI's top seven.
The UCI women's team placed fourth with112 points as Cal Poly won the title with 42 points. Azusa Pacific was second with 80 and Cal State San Marcos third with 107.
Kayleigh Tyerman of Cal Poly was the individual champion with a time of 17:13.0 over the 5,000-meter course.
UCI freshman Colleen Lillig placed 14th in the 122-runner field in 18:11.0, junior Katherine Nielsen was 24th (18:29.9) and senior Shelby Pock 25th (18:31.9).
Junior Melissa Mead, a Newport Harbor High product, finished 29th in 18:37.6, sophomore Maggie Newton-Neal was 35th (18:49.1), sophomore Carlotta Pham 44th (19:01.9) and sophomore Chloe Fata 55th (19:17.5) for the Anteaters.
ROCKLIN — Vanguard recorded three wins and went undefeated at the six-team, two-day event at William Jessup Saturday.
Lisa Morgan had 15 kills and KaUwila Lavea had 13 in the Lions' 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 win over Southwestern. Morgan had 16 kills for Vanguard (9-2) in its 25-20, 25-21, 25-18 win over William Jessup.
Morgan and Lavea had 16 kills each in the Lions' 25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-16 win over Bethany.

HONOLULU — No. 6-ranked Hawaii beat the Anteatesr, 25-17, 25-13, 25-17, at the Verizon Wireless Volleyball Challenge Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
UCI (2-5) was led by Kari Pestolesi, who posted eight kills. Kristin Winkler topped all players with a season-best 22 digs, while Marissa Alvarez had 25 assists. Juliane Piggott tacked on five kills while leading UCI with a pair of block assists.
