COSTA MESA — A Sonic Drive-In is set to open at at 3095 Harbor Blvd., replacing Long John Silver's, a fast-food fixture for several years.
"We have entered into an agreement with Sonic Burger, and we're excited to have them," said Bill Lang, who manages the property for the Harbor Mesa Partners. "It'll be exciting for the community. It's going to be a great addition."
Lang would not say why Long John Silver's, which sits on the northwest corner of Harbor Boulevard and Nutmeg Place, was replaced with Sonic. Attempts to reach the owner of the seafood franchise and its parent company, Louisville, Ky.-based Yum! Brands, were unsuccessful.
