Art Dialogue

The Orange County Museum of Art and the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation presents a dialogue between two of the most respected figures in public art: Mary Deebe and Alexis Smith. Deebe, the director of the Stuart Collection at UC San Diego, and Smith, a Los Angeles-based artist whose works have been shown at museums across the country, will speak at 7 p.m. at the Newport Beach Public Library, 1000 Avocado Ave. The event is free. Children can have their photos taken in their favorite tutus for $125, with all proceeds going directly to St. Jude. Classic Kids is seeking to raise $45,000.
