Liao won the 100 breaststroke in 56.70 to break the PCL meet record.
John Kim won the 200 indivdual medley in 1:53.86 and the 100 butterfly in 50.57. Hayden Leach, Garrett Larson, Jared Namba and Kim won the 400 free relay in 3:11.79, that broke the PCL meet record.
Namba, Liao, Kim and Berry won the 200 medley relay in 1:34.35 to break the PCL meet record.
Newport Harbor boys
NEWPORT BEACH — Newport Harbor won the Sunset League title in dominating fashion at its pool, scoring 546 points, while second-place Edison finished 121 points behind.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Jack Yeager, Blake Kelly, Matthew Russell and Ikaika Sarme won the event and set a meet record with a time of 1 minute, 24.56 seconds.
Tom Fischer placed second in the 200 free (1:42.06), while Kelly finished second (2:00.02) and Sean Richards finished third (2:03.25) in the 200-yard individual medley.
Russell rounded out the Sailors’ top finishers by finishing second in the 100-yard freestyle (46.42).
Newport girls
NEWPORT BEACH — The Sailors finished third at the Sunset League finals with 367 points.
Edison won the meet with 501.5 points.
Newport Harbor’s Casey Duckworth placed second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 5.83 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 4:57.01.
Kate Klippert finished third in the 100 free in 52.39 and Madison McLaren placed third in the 500 free (5:05.18).
The 200 free relay team of McLaren, Duckworth, Katie Jackson and Klippert finished third in 1:50.50.
CdM girls
IRVINE — Corona del Mar High’s Brynne Wong won a Pacific Coast League title in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.44 seconds at Beckman High.
CdM finsihed third. University won the meet.
DIVING
Newport Harbor High junior Clay Pinckney continued his domination in the Sunset League, winning the boys’ diving title Thursday at Los Alamitos.
