Janet Speers

Janet (Kelso) Speers, of Newport Beach, passed away

peacefully on March 30, 2010. Born in Pasadena

on April 21, 1930, Janet graduated from Westridge

High School for young women in 1948. She raised a

family and was active in community efforts in South

Pasadena for several decades. She then pursued

the dream of moving to the beach. A consummate

volunteer, Janet was active in numerous community

organizations, including as a longtime volunteer at

Hoag Hospital. Janet will be very much missed by

her daughters JoAnne Speers and LuAnne Pisarski,

her grandsons, Alex and Matt Pisarski, and her

many friends.
