Orange Empire Conference Four-way

SANTA ANA — Orange Coast College freshman Ryan Knapp shot one-over-par 73 to earn co-medalist honors and lead the Pirates to the win at Santa Ana Country Club Wednesday.

Knapp shared medalist honors with Santiago Canyon’s Joe Depietro.

OCC shot 381, while Santiago Canyon (391), Irvine Valley (395) and Santa Ana (416) followed.

Tyler Paul carded a 75 for the Pirates, while Chris Franchina and Joe Doody both shot 77. Benny Santa Maria and Kord Tagley both shot 79.

COSTA MESA — Sophomore Brad Hemmerling had 15 kills to pace the host Pirates to a 30-20, 30-20, 30-17 Pacific Coast Conference victory Wednesday.

Paul Leon had 38 assists and Harrison Phelps had 13 digs for OCC (8-0, 2-0 in conference). Libero Harrison Phelps came up with 13 digs, while setter Paul Leon dished out 38 assists for the Pirates.

OCC will play at Irvine Valley Friday at 6 p.m.

SANTA BARBARA — Carson Clark led the visiting Anteaters with 21 kills and 16 digs in the 33-31, 30-28, 27-30, 30-24, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation loss Wednesday.
