Matthews clinched the Anteaters’ 4-3 nonconference win Friday, when he we won at No. 2 singles.

Matthews, a Corona del Mar High product, defeated Luca Barlocchi, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

COSTA MESA — Brad Fisher rallied for a 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference match Friday.

Yannick Lepage also won in singles, 6-2, 6-1, for the Pirates (5-0, 2-0 in conference).

IRVINE — Caitlin Haskall scored four goals in the Anteaters’ nonconference victory, while Corona del Mar High product Tumua Anae had seven saves for the No. 2-ranked Trojans in the first of two nonconfence games Saturday at UCI.

Lauren Davids had 15 saves for UCI against Cal Baptist.

The No. 11-ranked Anteaters are 6-3.

FULLERTON — The Pirates finished the season at 16-13, 5-7 in the Orange Empire Conference Friday night.

Fullerton (28-1, 12-0), ranked No. 2 in the state, moves on to the playoffs.

LONG BEACH — Becka Kwan and Kristina Smith both won in singles for the Anteaters in the Big West Conference match Saturday.

Kwan defeated Anna Jecmionka, 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (3), and Smith beat Julie Luzar, 6-2, 6-0, for UCI (3-3, 1-1 in conference.
