Douglass also expected more from his offense, which finished 19 of 54 from the field (35.2%). UCI (9-12, 3-6) made just two of 12 three-point attempts (16.7%).
“It was a combination of [the Tigers] being well-prepared and what we couldn’t do,” Douglass said.
“It sounds strange, but sometimes we don’t go hard, offensively. Most teams go hard offensively and don’t go hard defensively ... We tried a lot of different things, but we just weren’t clicking.”
