WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

UC Irvine 70, Pacific 54

STOCKTON — Sophomore Mikah Maly-Karros amassed a career-high 35 points and 17 rebounds in the Big West Conference game Wednesday at the Spanos Center.

Maly-Karros was 12 for 21 from the field and 11 for 13 from the free-throw line and nine of her career-high-equaling rebounds were offensive.

She also blocked six shots, had one assist and one steal to help the Anteaters improve to 7-14, 4-5 in conference.

Jade Smith-Williams had 11 points, five assists and just three turnovers, while Kiara Belen had 10 points in 19 minutes off the bench.

UCI led, 34-31, at halftime.

The Anteaters won the rebounding battle, 46-28.

UOP Is (3-15, 1-6).

Fullerton 68,

Orange Coast 60

COSTA MESA — Samantha Hansen had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Amanda Deal added 15 points for the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.

Jenna Lujan had 10 rebounds and six points for OCC (13-10, 2-4 in conference).

Fullerton is 22-1, 6-0.

COSTA MESA — Chris Curtis and Jake Fedro each had 18 points for the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.

OCC forced 31 turnovers to improve to 9-12, 3-3 in conference.

Fullerton’s record falls to 9-13, 1-5.
