The Board of Directors of Project Independence announced today that Mitsubishi Electric USA of Cypress, California has generously donated an elevator for use at the nonprofit’s Costa Mesa office.
“One of our major goals this year was to make our new offices fully accessible for all of our clients. This terrific donation makes the dream a reality,” said Dan Pittman, the agency’s Board chair. The cost of the elevator’s installation will be covered by donations, including funds raised at Project Independence’s Mitsubishi Electric Walk for Independence on Sunday, January 17.
The Walk will be held at Central Park in Huntington Beach from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 17 as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service. Walkers can register at www.projectindependencewalk.org, at Project Independence’s Costa Mesa office (3505 Cadillac, Suite O-103), or at the event. Lunch and t-shirts are included in the $25.00 registration fee. For additional information, please visit www.projectindependencewalk.org or call event chair Britney Dockery at 714-549-3464 ext 239.
