Attorneys in the Public Law Section at Costa Mesa-based Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, recently put down their law books to help bundle gifts of food, toys, housewares and more destined for the county’s less fortunate this holiday season.
The occasion was nonprofit Share Our Selves’ 40th Annual Adopt-A-Family program, bringing the attorneys and many other likeminded volunteers to the Orange County Fairgrounds where all of the items had been delivered. The assembled packages were then picked up by representatives of schools in Costa Mesa and Santa Ana for delivery to nearly 1,400 families in need.
“We had a blast! It was like getting a double shot of holiday spirit—witnessing the incredible generosity of the community and being reminded of the real meaning of the season. This was the second year for our group. We will be back,” said Partner Kathy Jenson.
