Follies looking for cast members

Auditions for singers and dancers in Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Follies XIII: “The Wizard of O.C.” will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Island Hotel, 690 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach. Free valet parking will be available.

The show will be presented April 1 to 3 at the Robert B. Moore Theatre at Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. The event benefits the hospital.

Auditioners are asked to wear comfortable clothing; the auditions are held in groups, unless an auditioner wants a solo part. Those who wish to audition for a solo song or dance number are asked to bring their music or a tape; a pianist will be available.

Theatrical experience is not required, although every cast member is required to raise a minimum of $1,000 through sponsorships, tickets and/or advertisement sales. Performers must live in Orange County and be at least 21 years old.

Most rehearsals are Saturday during the day and Wednesday evenings. Rehearsals will be on the fourth floor of California Bank & Trust, 3420 Bristol St., Costa Mesa.

The first all-cast meeting will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Island Hotel.
