A Costa Mesa woman was arrested early Friday morning after she allegedly slashed another woman’s face with a folding knife outside Triangle Square, police said.

Erika Monique Milton, 22, was being held Friday at the Orange County Jail in Santa Ana in lieu of $1-million bail, jail records show.

Police responded to the scuffle at 1870 Newport Blvd. at 1:51 a.m. Friday, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Bryan Glass said.

Two club patrons who were leaving nightclubs at Triangle Square got into a fight outside the center, Glass said.

Milton saw the fight as she was leaving one of the nightclubs and slashed one of the combatants across the face with the knife, Glass said.

Police arrested Milton on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated mayhem and driving under the influence after they found the knife in her car, Glass said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for the cuts, Glass said.

Glass could not immediately say which hospital the victim was taken to, or what caused the fight.
