LONG BEACH — Junior Ashley Peters earned medalist honors after shooting an eight-over-par 44 for the Eagles in a nonleague match at El Dorado Golf Course Tuesday.
Kim Haycraft had a 48, followed by Nicole Irigoyen (50), Gina DeArkal (51) and Maritza Gonzalez (54).
Estancia (2-0) plays host to Huntington Beach today at the Mesa Linda Course at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club at 3 p.m.

DANA POINT — Senior Lindsey Hanna shot six-over-par 42 to earn medalist honors in the Sailors’ season opener Tuesday at Monarch Beach Golf Club.
Senior Lauren Draganza shot 43 and sophomore Charlotte Skjonsby finished with 45.
Newport Harbor seniors Morgan Moody and Casey Jones both carded 47.

Aliso wins on sixth score
ALISO VIEJO — Senior Ashley Varner shot six-over-par 41 to earn co-medalist honors in the Sea Kings’ season opener at Aliso Viejo Country Club Tuesday.
CdM lost after Aliso Niguel’s sixth player had a lower score, 47, than the Sea Kings’ sixth, which was 55.
Senior Tess Crane shot 43, while seniors Amanda Johnson and Hyebin Hong both had 44. CdM junior Grace Kim shot 45.
The Sea Kings face Aliso Niguel again Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.
