Charity league gets $50,000

Costa Mesa-based National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) is pleased to announce its new strategic partnership with Kappa Delta sorority (KD), which includes a grant of $50,000 to support leadership development programs for its members.

This is the first strategic alliance of its kind for NCL, a more than 50-year-old, non-profit mother-daughter membership organization that is based in southern California. “NCL is proud of its history of inspiring and empowering girls and women to succeed as confident, well-rounded and socially aware contributors in their communities,” said NCL Executive Director Hillary Niblo. “We are thrilled to have found a like-minded sister organization in Kappa Delta Sorority, which shares our values and is committed to investing in our long- term success.”

“The women of Kappa Delta and National Charity League believe that communities benefit when girls have confidence and are inspired to do great things,” said Melanie Shild, Kappa Delta executive director. “We are proud to align our efforts with NCL to maximize the impact both organizations can have on our world.” The two national women’s organizations, both of which are committed to shaping tomorrow’s leaders and supporting their communities through volunteerism, plan to make great things happen together.

Kappa Delta has a long history of partnering with innovative women’s organizations and companies that are addressing the issues that affect women and girls, including Girl Scouts of the USA, Association of Junior Leagues International, the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty and the Avon Foundation’s m.Powerment Fund. Kappa Delta funding will assist NCL to further develop its leadership programs and the sorority’s extensive alumni network will aid in helping NCL to successfully reach its goals for expansion. NCL, which started as a small regional organization, has doubled in size in the last decade and the demand for new Chapters continues to grow from coast to coast.
