Police found more than drunk drivers at their DUI checkpoint in Costa Mesa on Wednesday night, when officers said they found one man with a backpack full of marijuana and tabs of LSD inside his car.
Patrick Dylan Riley, 23, of Costa Mesa was arrested on suspicion of possessing and transporting narcotics and possessing with intent to sell marijuana, said Lt. Mark Manley.
Riley was stopped about 10:25 p.m. at a DUI checkpoint police set up at Wilson Street and Pomona Avenue when police caught a whiff of weed emanating from his car, Manley said.
