Local joins ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’

The cable reality series “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is tossing a Newport Coast resident into the mix for season five of the hit series.

Newport Coast resident Alexis Bellino, 32, will join cast members Tamra Barney, Lynn Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough and Gretchen Rossi for season five of “The Real Housewives.”

Married to entrepreneur Jim Bellino, Alexis Bellino is a stay-at-home mom to 3-year-old son James and 20-month-old twins Melania and Mackenna.

A press release announcing the addition to the cast describes Alexis Bellino as “a spicy blonde who unabashedly lives life on her terms.”

“The Real Housewives of Orange County,” which debuted on the Bravo cable network in 2006, follows the lives of a group of wealthy, often surgically enhanced women living in Orange County as they shop for designer clothing and jewelry, eat at upscale restaurants and gossip.
